Due to a Copernicus Sentinel-3A OLCI scheduled calibration, instrument data from sensing time 09:04:14 to 09:05:24 UTC on 26 August 2020 are unavailable.

In agreement with the European Commission, a new definition of the geographical coverage of the Copernicus Sentinel-3 Altimetry Level-2 products has been recently defined.

Due to an issue at ground segment level on 14 July 2020, OLC, SLSTR and SRAL Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3A data starting from sensing time 08:37:00 until 10:37:00 UTC (orbit 22953) on 14 July have been missed.

We are pleased to announce the release of new processing baselines 2.66-A/1.40-B and 2.68-A/1.42-B for Copernicus Sentinel-3

We are pleased to announce the release of new processing baselines 2.66-A and 1.40-B for Copernicus Sentinel-3A and 3B concerning the following products and cut-dates:

  • OL_2_LFR and OL_2_LRR, NRT/NTC, on 2020-06-23T08:00 UTC
  • SY_2_SYN, STC/NTC , on 2020-06-23T08:00 UTC.

Due to a Copernicus Sentinel-3B SRAL instrument anomaly all the related user data are degraded since 17 June 2020 13:28 UTC.

Due to a scheduled maintenance on 22 June on the PDGS infrastructure for Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Copernicus Sentinel-3B products belonging to sensing time window from 03:00 to 06:00 UTC could be delayed.

Due to an issue at ground station level on 15 June 2020, OLC, SLSTR and SRAL Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3A data starting from sensing time (UT) 14:50 to 16:40 (orbit 22543) on 15 June have been missed.

Due to a PDGS scheduled maintenance on 16 June Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Copernicus Sentinel-3B SRAL NRT products (L1/L2) belonging to sensing time window from 06:00 to 15:00 UTC will be delayed.

Due to an issue that occurred at the Ground Segment level from 26-05-2020 at 23:36 UTC to 27-05-2020 at 13:00 UTC :

OLC, SRAL Near Real Time and SLSTR near real Time for Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B data are delayed.

A new brochure featuring some of the highlights of our Sentinel Success Stories is now available and demonstrates just some of the successes of the Sentinels.

Due to a PDGS scheduled maintenance on 20 May 2020, Copernicus Sentinel-3 SLSTR NRT products (L1/L2) belonging to sensing time window from 07:30 to 12:00 UTC will be delayed.

Due to a Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR instrument anomaly occurred on May 13th and consequent recovery actions executed on the instrument all the related user products are unavailable or degraded in the following UTC sensing time intervals:
  • From 13/05/2020 11:18 to 18/05/2020 16:58: VIS and IR channels are unavailable (instrument anomaly).
  • From 18/05/2020 16:58 to 20/05/2020 20:00: IR channels are invalid and VIS channels may be degraded (recovery action).

A change has been made in the time duration of the Copernicus Sentinel-3A/3B SLSTR L2 NTC user products. The new Copernicus Sentinel-3 Land PDGS Product Units Configuration document describes the configuration applied for the generation of the products at Land PDGS.

Due to an issue (and still ongoing) at Ground Station level on 20 April 2020:

SRAL STC Copernicus Sentinel-3A and -3B data starting from sensing time (UT) 09:24:01 to 22:14:30 on 21 April 2020 will be delayed.

Due to an issue at Ground Station level on 14 April 2020, some Copernicus Sentinel-3 data is missing.

Due to a Copernicus Sentinel-3B spacecraft manoeuvre scheduled on 8 April  reduced data quality is expected for all the SRAL and SLSTR user products in the following UTC sensing time interval:

  • SRAL from 11:18 to 11:52.
  • SLSTR from 11:08 to 13:39.

Copernicus Sentinel-3B OLCI L1 (OL_1_EFR, OL_1_ERR) and L2 (OL_2_LFR, OL_2_LRR) reprocessed data will be soon available on the Open Access Hub. The time period covered by the reprocessing activity includes the commissioning phase of Sentinel-3B, therefore part of these products are newly published on the data hub and are going to cover a gap of several months of data.

Due to a Copernicus Sentinel-3B SLSTR instrument special operation scheduled on 30 March, the IR channels may be degraded during the overall duration of the maintenance lasting 3 hours and 22 minutes. As a consequence of that all the SLSTR/SYN user products may be degraded from UTC sensing time 10:50 to 14:12 on 30 March.

Due to a planned Copernicus Sentinel-3A spacecraft manoeuvre, executed on 11 March, all the SLSTR and SRAL user products could be degraded in the following UTC sensing time intervals:

  • SLSTR from 08:50 to 11:32
  • SRAL from 09:01 to 09:37
