We are pleased to announce a new forthcoming processing baseline 2.75-A and 1.53-B for Copernicus Sentinel-3 concerning the following products:

  • SLSTR L1 NRT/NTC (S3-A and S3-B)

Due to an issue occurred at PDGS level

  • the Near Real Time SLSTR Copernicus Sentinel-3A Level 1 and Level2 products starting from around sensing time 16-05-2021T16:30 UT to 18:00 UT and from 17-05T04:20 to 06:30 UT are mostly missed
  • the Near Real Time SLSTR Copernicus Sentinel-3B Level 1 and Level2 products starting from around sensing time 16-05-2021T16:30 UT to 18:00 UT and from 17-05T04:00 to 05:30 UT are mostly missed.

In addition for both S3A and S3B SLSTR Near real Time Level 1 and Level 2 products in the sensing time window 16-05T16:30 to 17-05T12:30 UT have been mostly delayed ”

Due to an issue occurring at PDGS level, the Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Sentinel 3B SLSTR Level 1 and Level2 products starting from around sensing time 16-05-2021T16:30 UT will be been missed or delayed

Due to an issue occurred at Ground Segment level, the Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B OLC, SLSTR and SRAL Level 1 and Level2 products starting from around sensing time 10-05-2021T17:30:00 UT (S3A orbit 27236 and S3B 15843) until 11-05-2021T06:30:00 UT (S3A orbit 27243 and S3B 15849) could be missed or degraded.

Due to an issue occurring at Ground Segment level, the Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B OLC, SLSTR and SRAL Level 1 and Level2 products starting from around sensing time 10-05-2021T17:30:00 UT (S3A orbit 27236 and S3B 15843) could be missed or degraded.

We are pleased to announce a new forthcoming processing baseline 2.76-A and 1.54-B for Copernicus Sentinel-3 concerning the following products:

  • OLCI L1 NRT/NTC

With Europe's tallest active volcano of 3325 metres frequently erupting, volcanology experts are using data from the Copernicus Sentinels to monitor the situation for environmental and safety impacts, since its various recent explosions.

Due to a scheduled decontamination activity on the Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR instrument, all the SLSTR user products will be missing or degraded.

As a consequence of a maintenance activity on the Copernicus Sentinel-3B spacecraft on 14 April 2021 from 10:57 to 11:32 UTC, reduced data quality for all SRAL related user products should be expected for data sensed during this period.

Due to an issue occurred at Ground Segment level, the Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3A OLC, SLSTR and SRAL Level 1 and Level2 products starting from around sensing time 10-04-2021 T 07:15:00 UTC to 09:00:00 UTC have been missed or degraded. Recovery in order to have a proper set of NTC data is on going.

We are pleased to announce the public release of the Copernicus Sentinel-3 SYNergy Aerosol Optical Depth AOD products processed in NTC timeliness. Information about the characterisation of the new products is available in the product notice document.

As a consequence of maintenance activity executed on the Copernicus Sentinel-3A spacecraft on 17/03 from UTC time 07:01 to 07:37, reduced data quality for all the SRAL related user products should be expected for data sensed during this period. Reduced data quality for SLSTR user products can be moreover expected from approximately 06:51 to 11:06.

Due to an issue occurring at PDGS level, the Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3 SRAL NRT and STC Level 1 and Level 2 products starting from approximate sensing time 18:28 UTC on 18 March 2021 will be missed or delayed.

Following popular demand from the Sentinel-3 user community, ESA are now providing Copernicus Sentinel-3 SLSTR Level 3 composite products for the Land Surface Temperature (LST) Level 2 products. Daily and monthly composites are provided.

As previously reported, a major incident occurred on a data centre providing data access infrastructure services on 10 March 2021, which led to a temporary interruption of new data from Copernicus Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-3 and the temporary interruption of historical data access (from more than a year ago).

As previously reported, a major incident occurred on a data centre providing data access infrastructure services led to the temporal interruption of the publication of fresh Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-3 data on 10 March 2021 01:10 UTC.

An incident occurred on 10 March 2021 at 01:00 UTC on the infrastructure hosting the data access services.

Due to an anomaly that occurred at the satellite and instrument level, the Near Real Time and Non Time Critical Copernicus Sentinel-3A OLC Level 1 and Level 2 products starting from approximate sensing time 00:30:00 UTC on 5 March 2021 will be missed.

On 6 February 2021, a huge windstorm from the Sahara reached large parts of the Alps and Pyrenees, giving the snow and surrounding area a sepia coloured nuance, and creating a Mars-like atmosphere—Copernicus Sentinel-3 caught it in real-time, adding to its ability of supplying aerosol estimates.

Due to an issue occurred at PDGS level, the Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3B SLSTR Level 1 and Level2 products starting from around sensing time 24-02-2021T13:00:00 UT to 25-02-2021T09:00 UT will delayed.
