|20 October 2017||Science test data were down-linked over Svalbard and successfully acquired by the Payload Data Ground Segment (PDGS).

Sentinel-5P reaches its loose formation flying position with the S-NPP (Suomi - National Polar Partnership) satellite (flying about 5 minutes behind).

|30 April 2018||The TROPOMI instrument started measuring in nominal operations baseline with a 360 orbit repeat cycle.|

|25-26 June 2018||The "First Sentinel-5 Precursor Products Release Workshop" took place at ESRIN where Calibration/Validation (Cal/Val) results were presented for: Level 1B radiance/irradiance (Offline–OFFL production), Ozone (Near Real Time–NRT production), Carbon Monoxide (OFFL production), Nitrogen Dioxide (NRT & Offline production), Aerosol Index and Clouds information (NRT & Offline production).|

The Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), which is implemented by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) on behalf of the European Union, is now including near-realtime Sentinel-5P ozone data in their daily analysis and forecast system.
