We are pleased to notify that a new processing baseline was recently deployed on 19 October 2023 for Sentinel-1A. This evolution features an update of the Level-1 processor only, the Level-2 processor remains unchanged.

The products generated after the deployment of this version tag version 3.7.1 of the operational processor in the corresponding product metadata.The new Processing Baseline includes:

Support for Sentinel-1 C/D units up to Level-1;

Improved management of state vectors during Burst-ID computation correcting a recurring anomaly reported in quality disclaimers Nr. 77, 78 and correlated ones (see https://sar-mpc.eu/disclaimer/);

Improved robustness of the denoising vector calculation (for SLC and GRD) and correction of their azimuth line annotation (for SLC), correcting the anomaly reported in quality disclaimers Nr. 117 and 118.

It is highlighted that the Sentinel-1 product specifications document was minimally amended in relation the supporting Sentinel-1 C and D units, but that the format and semantics of the products, of Sentinel-1A in particular, is in no way affected. The subject product specifications version 3.14.1 can be accessed here.
