The "Populate Geographical and Time Variables" processing sets up the coordinate frame variables for the L2P science fields, i.e.:

• Interpolate latitude and longitude geolocation fields to the output grid
• Find the earliest SST measurement time relative to the SLSTR scan time epoch
• Calculate the time difference between the L2P and SLSTR scan reference times

This step also calculates the SLSTR nadir pixel measurement time, relative to the file reference time. This is the correct choice for all single view SST pixels, but there are two measurement times (nadir and oblique) associated with each dual view SST pixel and these will differ by a few minutes.
