The SLSTR Level-2 processing is performed via three core processors:

• the WST/WCT and LST IPF,
• the FRP IPF,
• the AOD IPF.

In addition to the core processing modules (L2_wst/L2_wct, L2_lst, L2_frp, L2_aod):

• the module L2_in checks the input L1B data and auxiliary files. Their presence and self-consistency are verified;
• the module L2_com gathers general functions as derived pixel-by-pixel estimates of radiance, BT, radiance uncertainty and BT uncertainty for channel S2, S3, S6 to S9, F1 and F2;
• the module L2_out populates and writes the product metadata and data fields.
