ESA is pleased to announce that, in addition to the Copernicus DEM 90 metre resolution released in 2019, the access rights for data at 30 metre resolution have now been extended and the dataset is openly and freely available to any registered user.

The issue affecting the offline products restoration on the Data Hubs was solved on 27 November 2020 at 09:00 UTC.

Due to a ground segment contingency that occurred yesterday evening and was fixed this morning, the nominal availability of several Copernicus Sentinel-2A products from sensing orbit 28336 to 28338 and Copernicus Sentinel-2B products from sensing orbit 19427 to 19430 was prevented. The recovery of missing products is ongoing and will be completed in the next days. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The restoration of offline products in the Data Hubs is temporarily affected by an anomaly since 26 November 2020 at 11:00 UTC. Orders are queued but not processed.

Copernicus Sentinel-1A was unavailable on 26 November 2020 from 10:06 to 13:32 UTC, due to a Payload Data Handling and Transmission (PDHT) sub-system anomaly. No data were generated during this period, and data acquired slightly before this period may have been affected.

Due to a scheduled maintenance at Pickup Point level. the Near Real Time Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Sentinel 3B OLCI, SLSTR, SRAL Level 1 and Level 2 products starting from approximately sensing time (UT) 2020-11-24T12:30:00 to 13:30:00 could be delayed.

Following a scheduled maintenance activity executed on the Copernicus Sentinel-3B SLSTR instrument all the related user products may be degraded or unavailable in the following sensing time intervals:

  • From 11.11.2020 11:33 to 12.11.2020 11:07: data are unavailable.
  • From 12.11.2020 11:07 to 14.11.2020 01:00: visible channels may be degraded and IR channels are invalid

Due to an anomaly at Ground Segment level NRT data from the following timeframes have been missed:

  • Copernicus Sentinel-3A OLCI, SLSTR, SRAL  Level 1 and Level 2 products starting from sensing time 2020-11-07T23:58:19 to 2020-11-08T06:47:31 UTC
  • Copernicus Sentinel-3B OLCI, SLSTR, SRAL  Level 1 and Level 2 products starting from sensing time 2020-11-08T02:42:51 to 2020-11-08T04:25:41 UTC.

A routine decontamination activity of the Copernicus Sentinel-2B MSI is planned to take place over 24 hours between 16 November 10:00 and 17 November 10:00 UTC (corresponding approximately to the period between absolute orbits 19310 to 19324).

A series of maintenance activities are scheduled from 11 to 18 November for updating the data hub software.
