While most of us may be looking forward to spending some time in the sunshine this summer, the Sentinel-2B satellite is being subjected to the extreme cold of space to make sure it is fit for life in orbit.
Infrastructure security maintenance activities are foreseen on Wednesday, 20 July 2016 from 09:30 CEST to 17:00 CEST, which may impact the Data Hubs.

Getting the bigger picture on the health of our planet drew another step closer today as Europe's Sentinel-3A satellite was handed over to Eumetsat for operations.

A Sentinel-1A satellite unavailability occurred on 10 July  2016  from 07:39 UTC  to 18:51 UTC. No SAR data were acquired during this period.
ESA and China have launched the fourth phase of the collaborative Dragon programme in Wuhan City, on the Yangtze River, which recently experienced major floods witnessed by Europe's Sentinel-1 satellite.
Infrastructure maintenance will occur on 5 July 2016 from 9:30 CEST to 11:30 CEST, which may affect the Data Hubs.

A new version of the Sentinel-5 Mission Guide is now available and provides a high-level description of the future atmospheric monitoring mission of the Copernicus Programme.

Following the temporary unavailability of the Sentinel-2A products acquired on 30 June, nominal product distribution on the Data Hub was resumed on 1 July 20:00 UTC.
Due to a ground segment anomaly, Sentinel-2A products acquired after 30 June 2016, 08:00 UTC are temporarily unavailable for download on the Data Hub.

The EOMAP aquatic remote sensing company, together with partners at the Remote Sensing Research Centre of Queensland University and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, are developing new methods to monitor and detect coral bleaching events using Europe's Sentinel-2A satellite.
