Scientists observed the bleaching of Australia's Great Barrier Reef early this year using satellite images. While capturing these events from space has been difficult in the past, Sentinel-2's frequent revisits and its resolution makes it possible.

Two updated world maps providing a high level description of the overall Sentinel-1 constellation observation scenario have been released. They show the status of the constellation observation scenario for May 2017 and onwards.
Referring to the news of 03 April 2017, users are informed that the recovery of all impacted sensing orbits from 9266 to 9296 has been completed and the relevant Sentinel-2A products are available in the data hubs.

Users are informed that the Sentinel-2 Ground Segment suffered a sporadic anomaly between March and May 2017 included, leading to an incomplete dissemination of production with about 11% of products missing throughout the period.

The periods of April and May have already been recovered and all of the production for those two months is now available for download; the recovery for the month of March is on-going and is expected to be complete by 26 May.

Following the Severity 1 Anomaly reported earlier today, we are pleased to announce that the restoration of the Data Hub systems has been successfully completed on 22 May 2017.
Since Monday, 22 May 2017 00:00 CEST an anomaly on the infrastructure has been encountered at the main hosting site. The anomaly is under investigation, further information will be provided as soon as available.
Following the release of the latest Sentinel-3 SLSTR Level-1B processing baseline, an error has been detected in the products.
