A new brochure featuring some of the highlights of our Sentinel Success Stories is now available and demonstrates just some of the successes of the Sentinels.

Due to a PDGS scheduled maintenance on 20 May 2020, Copernicus Sentinel-3 SLSTR NRT products (L1/L2) belonging to sensing time window from 07:30 to 12:00 UTC will be delayed.

Due to a Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR instrument anomaly occurred on May 13th and consequent recovery actions executed on the instrument all the related user products are unavailable or degraded in the following UTC sensing time intervals:
  • From 13/05/2020 11:18 to 18/05/2020 16:58: VIS and IR channels are unavailable (instrument anomaly).
  • From 18/05/2020 16:58 to 20/05/2020 20:00: IR channels are invalid and VIS channels may be degraded (recovery action).
Infrastructure maintenance activities with downtime of the main storage facilities are scheduled from 18 May 10:45 UTC to 19 May 11:30 UTC.

On 19 May the Copernicus Space Component Data Access web portal will be updated, and a brand new website will take its place.

Due to an issue occuring on the Copernicus Sentinel-3A satellite on 13 May the following from the following sensing times are missing:

  • SLSTR Near Real Time and Non Time Critical: 2020-05-13T11:15:00 (starting from orbit 22070)
  • SLSTR SYN Copernicus Sentinel-3A data starting  from sensing time (UTC) 2020-05-13T11:15:00  (starting from orbit 22070).

As a consequence of a network contingency on 10 May, about 35% of Copernicus Sentinel-2A products from sensing orbit 25498 to 25515 and Copernicus Sentinel-2B products from sensing orbit 16589 to 16609 were not generated.

Collision avoidance manoeuvres are being executed on Copernicus Sentinel-1B to reduce the risk of collision with an unknown object, potentially occurring at 10:20 UTC on 11 May.

The Sentinel-5P mission of the European Union's Copernicus Programme has become a game-changer for monitoring our atmosphere while being one of the most important sources of data for the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service.

Following the planned ground segment maintenance executed on 4 May which was announced on 29 April, there has been a contingency occurred on a component under upgrade preventing the resumption of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 Long Term Archive service. For the time being the issue is being resolved and the service is planned to be back in operations by tomorrow.

We apologize again for the inconvenience caused.
