ESA is pleased to confirm the successful change in increasing the spatial resolution from 7 km to 5.5 km a-long track as reported in the news of 14 June.
As a follow up of the technical investigation related to a previously reported ongoing anomaly, a corrective infrastructure maintenance activity has been planned on 7 August from 08:00 to 12:00 UTC on the Copernicus Open Access Hub (also including API Hub and GNSS Rinex Pre-operational Hub).

Due to contingencies that have occurred at ground segment level, the following Copernicus Sentinel-2 products are going to be removed from all Data Hubs and corresponding products will be regenerated and disseminated in the coming days.

Decreased performance when downloading products has been noticed on the Data Hubs following security maintenance on 29 and 30 July.

The identification and location of groundwater‐dependent ecosystems are the first move in protecting and managing them. Such identifications are challenging where the surface signs of groundwater are not obvious. Copernicus Sentinel-2 data are lending a hand in establishing these ecosystems.

A network switch failure occurred today, from 11:50 to 12:20 UTC causing a downtime on the Data Hubs services.

As a consequence of a ground segment anomaly that occurred in the evening on 21 July, the availability in the Data Hubs of several Copernicus Sentinel-2A products from sensing orbit 21297 to 21308 and Copernicus Sentinel-2B products from sensing orbit 12388 to 12398 is delayed.

The SciHub access point to the Sentinels Open Access Hub experienced an unscheduled downtime on 18 July from 10:30 to 11:20 UTC.
Due to an issue at Ground Segment level on 17 July, OLC, SLSTR and SRAL Near Real Time, Short Time Critical and Non Time Critical Copernicus Sentinel-3B data from the following time period are affected: 17/07/2019 20:14 to 17/07/2019 21:55 UTC.

Due to an issue at Ground Segment level on 15 July, OLC Near Real Time and SYN Short Time Critical Copernicus Sentinel-3A data from the following time periods are affected:

  • 15/07/2019 17:30 to 16/07/2019 02:50 UTC (data missed but related NTC products available)
  • 15/07/2019 02:50 to 16/07/2019 05:15 UTC (data delayed)

Calling on all interested users of Sentinel data, who would like to submit their results, turning their experiences into 'success stories'.

If you have a good story to tell, of how any of the Sentinel satellites are producing data that bring benefit to your work and/or to society, please contact the Sentinel Online Editors at: contentmatters4sentinelonline@ejr-quartz.com with your proposals.
