Related to the news published on 28 July 2022, we are pleased to announce that the auxiliary data required for the Sentinel-5P Methane processing are available again since orbit 25272 (29 August 2022). Therefore, the quality of the Methane has been fully reestablished since then.

We are pleased to announce a new processing baseline [OL_L1.003.00.00] for Copernicus Sentinel-3 concerning the following products:  

• OL_1_EFR in NRT and NTC timeliness, delivered by ESA 
• OL_1_ERR in NRT and NTC timeliness, delivered by ESA

This Processing Baseline includes the  Level 1b radiometric uncertainty for each spatial pixel and spectral channel,  provided in specific netCDF files, in the same way as for the Top-of-Atmosphere radiances. 
It is important to note that these uncertainties are coded on a log-scale and that, at the time of deployment, they are not decoded by the SNAP viewer. 

The new processing baseline has been deployed on the 23rd of August 2022 for S3A and on the 31st of August 2022 for S3B.

Collision avoidance manoeuvres will be executed on Sentinel-1A to reduce the risk of collision with an unknown object, potentially occurring today 31 August 2022 at 15:48 UTC.

Five Sentinel-1A data download links through the European Data Relay Satellite System (EDRS), taking place between 11:00 UTC to 21:30 UTC on 31 August 2022, need to be cancelled due to these orbit manoeuvres.

SAR acquisitions taking place slightly before and during this period may be affected.

Due to an anomaly in the ground segment, a set of degraded Sentinel-2A data products were published on the Sentinel Data Hubs between the 23rd August at 08:30 UTC and the 30th August 2022 at 08:30 UTC.

The degraded products contain a corrupted TC image. The anomaly has been corrected the 30th of August 2022 in the morning.

An update will follow with the plans for the recovery of the impacted production.

Due to predicted outage for Sentinel-3A SRAL OLTC patch execution, SRAL products degradation  is expected for sensing time from 05/09/2022T10:40:00 to 07/09/2022T 11:41:00.

Copernicus Sentinel-1A was unavailable between 23:20 UTC on 23 August 2022 and 08:33 UTC on 24 August 2022, due to a SAR antenna anomaly.

No data were generated during this period.

Due to Copernicus Sentinel-3B Moon calibration, data will be degraded on hereafter products:

• Copernicus Sentinel-3BSLSTR: products degradation is expected for sensing time from 12/08/2022T07:58:20 to 12/08/2022T08:48:50

• Copernicus Sentinel-3B OLCI: products degradation is expected for sensing time from 12/08/2022T08:42:52 to 12/08/2022T08:48:50

• Copernicus Sentinel-3B SRAL: products degradation is expected for sensing time from 12/08/2022T07:59:20 to 12/08/2022T08:30:18

Due to S3B Sentinel-3B Orbit Correction Manoeuvre occurred from 9th of August at 07:55:45 UTC to 9th of August at 08:05:35, SLSTR data in the specified period may be degraded.

Copernicus Sentinel-1A was unavailable between 21:31 UTC on 6 August 2022 and 08:26 UTC on 7 August 2022, due to a SAR antenna anomaly. No data were generated during this period.
