We are very pleased to announce that the final steps of the Data Access Systems upgrade will be initiated on Wednesday 28 April 2021

As a consequence of a ground segment contingency held in the frame of a planned maintenance at processing chain level, all Copernicus Sentinel-2A products on 22 April between 00:00 and 07:00 UTC sensing time are randomly affected by a geolocation shift up to 30 meters and a mis-registration between bands.

With Europe's tallest active volcano of 3325 metres frequently erupting, volcanology experts are using data from the Copernicus Sentinels to monitor the situation for environmental and safety impacts, since its various recent explosions.

Due to a scheduled decontamination activity on the Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR instrument, all the SLSTR user products will be missing or degraded.

Due to multiple contingencies that occurred at ground segment level between the morning on 18 April and noon on 19 April, the generation of several Copernicus Sentinel-2A products from sensing orbit 30404 to 30418 and several Copernicus Sentinel-2B products from sensing orbit 21494 to 21510 is delayed.

As a consequence of a contingency at ground station network level held in the night between 15 and 16 April, the generation of several Copernicus Sentinel-2A products from sensing orbit 30367 to 30376 and several Copernicus Sentinel-2B products from sensing orbit 21460 to 21466 is delayed.

As a consequence of a maintenance activity on the Copernicus Sentinel-3B spacecraft on 14 April 2021 from 10:57 to 11:32 UTC, reduced data quality for all SRAL related user products should be expected for data sensed during this period.

A scheduled maintenance activity will take place on Sentinel Online on 21 April.

Due to an anomaly in the ground segment the Sentinel-5P data from the orbit 18127 to 18130 have not been acquired and will not be processed. Some NRT products data are available from orbits 18127 and 18130, related OFFL products may be generated with less measurements and reduced quality. Users are recommended to use this data with care.

We are pleased to announce that the Sentinel-1A and -1B Precise Orbit Files (AUX_POEORB products) coming from the Sentinel-1 Full Mission Reprocessing 2021 (FMR 2021) are available on the Copernicus Open Access Hub (see News story for further information about the FMR 2021).

Calling on all interested users of Sentinel data, who would like to submit their results, turning their experiences into 'success stories'.

If you have a good story to tell, of how any of the Sentinel satellites are producing data that bring benefit to your work and/or to society, please contact the Sentinel Online Editor Malì Cecere at: mali.cecere@ejr-quartz.com with your proposals.
