Sentinel-1B SLC products from an acquisition made on 09 September 2016, relevant to the analysis of the M 5.8 earthquake that occurred in Oklahoma on 03 September 2016, are now available for user download.
Infrastructure maintenance activities on the Data Hubs are foreseen on Wednesday, 14 September 2016 from 09:00 CEST to 17:00 CEST.

To coincide with the move to distribute the Sentinel-2 products as single tile products (as described in this related news), the Sentinel-2A Pre-operational Hub (S-2A PreOps Hub) will be decommissioned from operations on 19 September 2016.

ESA engineers have discovered that a solar panel on the Copernicus Sentinel-1A satellite was hit by a millimetre-size particle in orbit on 23 August. Thanks to onboard cameras, ground controllers were able to identify the affected area. So far, there has been no effect on the satellite's routine operations.
The Sentinel-1B satellite is still finalising its commissioning phase, planned to be completed by mid September 2016. However it was already regularly acquiring data over Central Italy when the 6.2 magnitude earthquake occurred on 24 August 2016.
Infrastructure maintenance activities on the Data Hubs are foreseen on Wednesday, 31 August 2016 from 09:30 CEST to 15:00 CEST.
On 24 August, an earthquake struck central Italy, claiming at least 290 lives and causing widespread damage. Satellite images are being used to help emergency aid organisations, while scientists have begun to analyse ground movement.

Sentinel-2A products generated between orbits 6003 (acquired on 15 August 2016) and 6011 (acquired on 16 August 2016) suffer important geolocation error from 30m up to 130m as a direct consequence of the collision avoidance manoeuvre that took place at this time.

Due to an anomaly in the ground segment a set of degraded Sentinel-2 data products were published on the Sentinel Data Hubs between the morning of 3 August to mid afternoon of 5 August 2016.

By early September 2016, Sentinel-2 Level-1C products will start being distributed on the Sentinels Data Hubs in single-tile packages following the current product format and naming convention (PSD 13.1).
