ESA is pleased to announce the official release of the Copernicus Sentinel-5P Methane (CH4) and Ozone Tropospheric Column (O3_TCL) Offline products on the Copernicus Sentinel-5P Pre-operations Data Hub. The products are available with CH4 data starting from orbit 5833 and O3_TCL starting from orbit 6059.

A blocking infrastructure incident at one of the data hub centres occurred on 01 March 2019 starting from 13:20 UTC leading to a downtime of a number of dissemination services.

A Sentinel-1B satellite unavailability occurred on 27 February 2019 from 23:21:26 UTC to 28 February 2019 15:13:19  UTC.

With two sensors now in orbit, the Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellites could monitor some parts of the world almost daily. This capability could be crucial in monitoring rapidly developing events such as biotic/abiotic stress on crops and provide accurate and timely information from farmers to policy-makers, to develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

The Level 2 Land Surface Temperature data (SL_2_LST) both in Near-Real-Time (NRT) and in Non-Time-Critical (NTC) timeliness of the Copernicus Sentinel-3B Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR) instrument and all Synergy data product types (SY_2_SYN, SY_2_VGP, SY_2_VG1, SY_2_V10) are now available on the Sentinel-3 Pre-Operational Hub.

ESA is working on an improvement of the Copernicus Sentinel-1 Wave Mode 2 performance, by optimising the antenna configuration (new antenna gain settings allowing a better SNR).

Copernicus Sentinel-1B was unavailable on 23 February 2019 between 12.00 UTC and 15:07 UTC, due to a SAR anomaly.

The Copernicus Open Access Hub will be updated to new software versions in the coming weeks. A series of maintenance activities are scheduled on the data services from 26 February to 11 March 2019.

When Mount Agung in Indonesia erupted in 2017, the search was on to find out why it had stirred. Thanks to information on ground deformation from the Copernicus Sentinel-1 mission, scientists now have more insight into the volcano's hidden secrets that caused it to reawaken.

The Copernicus Sentinel-3 Altimetry Processing Baseline (PB) was deployed on 14 February 2019 at the ESA Sentinel-3 Land centres.
