Please be informed that due to ground segment maintenance activities at EUMETSAT from 6 to 8 December 2016, daily from 07:30 to 17:30 UTC, there will be a risk of data dissemination interruption for all Sentinel-3A products.
A Sentinel-1A satellite unavailability occurred on 04 December 2016 from 06:52 UTC to 11:07 UTC. No SAR data were acquired during this period.

As part of the planned OLCI solar diffuser characterisation campaign, a Sentinel-3A yaw manoeuvre, impacting all instruments pointing attitude is foreseen on 7 December. Reduced data quality should be expected for all Sentinel-3 data products sensed during the below reported periods.

Researchers from the University of Oslo processed and analysed data from the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellite, which spotted an unusual number of recent avalanches in Svalbard.

In the framework of service scalability improvements, an extraordinary infrastructure maintenance will occur on the Data Hubs on Wednesday 30 November 2016 from 15:30 CET to 16:45 CET.

A routine Sentinel-3 in-plane manoeuvre is scheduled on 01 December 2016 from 07:53 to 08:06 UTC.

Reduced data quality should be expected for all Sentinel-3 data products sensed during this period.

Referring to the Sentinel-2 Level-1C products format evolution described in the news of 5 August, and further to the introduction on 21 September of the products distribution in single-tile packages, ESA is pleased to announce that the new products will start being distributed according to the final format subject of this evolution starting on Tuesday 6 December.

As a consequence of a data dissemination anomaly, Sentinel-2A Level-1C products have not been published in the data hubs since Saturday 26 November 2016.

The anomaly was promptly resolved and publishing on the Sentinel data hubs has now restarted.

The Sentinel-1 satellites have shown that the Millennium Tower skyscraper in the centre of San Francisco is sinking by a few centimetres a year. Studying the city is helping scientists to improve the monitoring of urban ground movements, particularly for subsidence hotspots in Europe.
