Due to a scheduled special operation on the  SLSTR instrument, all the NRT/NTC SL_1_RBT/SL_2_LST user data are not available in the following time intervals:

  • From 07:50 to 12:55 UTC on 18 June 2018.

This week marks 20 years since the manifesto was signed that gave rise to Europe's Copernicus environmental programme. With seven Sentinel satellites already in orbit delivering terabytes of data every day, Copernicus is the biggest provider of Earth observation data in the world.
Due to a planned maintenance of the Sentinel-3 Ground Segment, the S3A NRT data in the sensing time window from 18-06-2018T14:28 UTC to 19-06-2018T02:00 UTC are missing.
The key to monitoring Earth's changing environment and to guaranteeing a consistent stream of satellite data to improve our daily lives is to take the same measurements over the course of decades. But how do you know that measurements from successive satellites, even though identical in build, are like for like?

Dry, warm weather has sparked wildfires over Siberia this spring. After a limited surge in April, the countryside has lit up majorly in May. But why is this happening and how can the Sentinel satellites help?

Restless Kilauea

Fiery lava continues to pour from the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii's Big Island. These Copernicus Sentinel-2 images from 23 May, 07 June and 12 June 2018 show the relentless flow of lava and clouds of ash. This is an update of the Hawaii lava flow animation published on 08 June.

Infrastructure maintenance activities are scheduled on the Data Hubs from 12:00 UTC on 18 June to 10:00 UTC on 19 June 2018.

The campaign for republishing the Sentinel-2A L1C products from their historical format into the 'Complete Single Tile' format continues. Further publications will be made available starting on 15 June 2018.
Due to an issue on the Sentinel 3 Ground Segment, the Sentinel-3A NRT data acquired on orbit 12077, 12 June 2018 from 15:24:06 UTC to 17:03:52 are delayed.
The Sentinel-3A data acquired on orbits 12012 and 12013 on 08 June 2018 from 03:39 to 05:53 UTC, delayed due to a ground segment anomaly, has been successfully recovered.
