Title: Windrow classified at the mouth of the Po River, Italy

Description: A side-by-side comparison of a Copernicus Sentinel-2 RGB composite and a marine debris processor output of a windrow identified at the mouth of the Po River, Italy (45.0°N, -12.6°W).

The Po River is a known source of marine litter pollution for the Mediterranean Sea, and repeated observations from Copernicus Sentinel-2 have been able to capture several windrows such as this. The processor colours from green to red signify increasing probabilities of marine litter being present in the pixel. The mixture of these colours displayed by the processor indicate that the windrow is formed by a mixture of plastic and other types of marine debris.
