Seepage activity in the Gulf of Aden

Title: Seepage activity in the Gulf of Aden

Description:

Development of the seepage event from the first detection to highly effusive, Rank 1, seepage. Sentinel-1 imagery dates (clockwise from top): 24/03/2016, 22/07/2016, 13/12/2016, 06/01/2017 and 30/01/2017. Seep origin points appear to spread from the North to the South, with the vents located at two distinct fronts. These fronts appear parallel but offset from one another, which may indicate a sequential formation process, such as slumping fault blocks or submarine land slip.
