Sentinel-1 GBM imagery over Bangladesh

Title: Detail of Copernicus Sentinel-1 GBM over Bangladesh

Description: A detail of the Copernicus Sentinel-1 GBM (VV-polarisation) zoomed into the Sundarbans at the southern shorelines of Bangladesh, with its multifaceted surface and its complex river-deltas (low backscatter in dark colours) discharging into the Bay of Bengal. This feature-rich image highlights the mangrove forest in the southern section with strong yellow colour (i.e. high backscatter). Adjacent to the north and east, the rice and bean agriculture draw large contrast patterns in the SAR imagery.
