Title: Copernicus Sentinel-2A captures water percolation in the snowpack of glaciers

Description: On 6 July 2019 at 12:47 UTC, Copernicus Sentinel-2A acquired this image over the Svalbard Brøggerhalvøya Peninsula. At that time the melting season had started and the snow that fell in winter and spring was melting away. The melt water collected in the snowpack and accumulated in troughs and valleys to form pools and rivers.
