Data Access services resumed

04 March 2019

Users are informed that the infrastructure incident that caused a degradation of the data access services has been solved as of 03 March 2019 at 01:45 UTC.

The incident was caused by a disk failure in the front-end nodes accessing the storage to which the virtual machines are connected. The FlexProtect job run for several hours for repairing the nodes and drives and for protecting the data.

It took the majority of resources. During this time the performance for accessing the data on the storage were degraded and both the users downloads and the products publication were affected.

Data fetching from the PDGSs has been resumed. Products publication on all data access services is gradually absorbing the production backlog and download rates are back to nominal.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this might have caused to your activity.
