Title: Copernicus Sentinel-2 records sediment transport

Description: On 20 August 2019 at 12:46 UTC, Sentinel-2B overpassed the Svalbard Brøggerhalvøya Peninsula. As it flew over the coast of Western Spitsbergen it captured this image of sediment plumes that swirl along the coast. This sediment is freshwater coming from the glacier on the peninsula, which is mixed with the salty ocean water. After some time the sediment slowly diluted and settled on the sea floor.
