Title: Olot in the Pyrenees

The Copernicus Sentinel-2A satellite features the Catalonian city of Olot in the province of Girona, Spain.

Known for its natural landscape, Olot includes four volcanoes scattered around the city centre. The municipality is part of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, which is a natural park area covering a volcanic field in northeast Spain. The volcanoes, of which there are about forty, are no longer active. The last eruption was some 11,000 years ago.

The lush vegetation is depicted along with the mountainous landscape that surrounds the city.
