In early October 2016, a powerful and deadly tropical cyclone, Hurricane Matthew, struck over the Atlantic Ocean. It hit Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas. It also significantly impacted the south-eastern United States, especially Florida, as well as Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
This flood delineation map of the area of Goldsboro, North Carolina, was generated based on Sentinel-1A imagery acquired on 12 October 2016 at 11:15 UTC, and on 11 October at 23:14 UTC.
