We are pleased to announce a new processing baseline [OL_L1.003.00.00] for Copernicus Sentinel-3 concerning the following products:

  • OL_1_EFR in NRT and NTC timeliness, delivered by ESA
  • OL_1_ERR in NRT and NTC timeliness, delivered by ESA

Information about the changes and the characterisation of the new version of the OLCI L1 products is available in the following product notice:

S3.PN.OLCI-L1.10 - i1r0 - OLCI L1 (PB OL_L1.003.00.00).pdf

This Processing Baseline includes the  Level 1b radiometric uncertainty for each spatial pixel and spectral channel,  provided in specific netCDF files, in the same way as for the Top-of-Atmosphere radiances.
It is important to note that these uncertainties are coded on a log-scale and that, at the time of deployment, they are not decoded by the SNAP viewer.

The new processing baseline has been deployed on the 23rd of August 2022 for S3A and on the 31st of August 2022 for S3B.
