A maintenance activity on the core infrastructure hosting the Data Hub services, involving the update of the network infrastructure, is planned on 22 June from 02:30 to 05:00 UTC.

Until recently, the exploitation of Earth Observation in the coastal domain had been limited by the complication of obtaining the right satellite image—but now Copernicus Sentinel-2 data are making a difference.

The Quaternions files for Copernicus Sentinel-1-2 and -3 missions  computed by the Copernicus POD Service will be officially available from the Copernicus Open Access Hub from 1 June onwards.

The infrastructure incident that occurred at 00:00 on 27 May 2020 has been fixed and all data access services have been restored to their nominal operations.

Due to an issue that occurred at the Ground Segment level from 26-05-2020 at 23:36 UTC to 27-05-2020 at 13:00 UTC :

OLC, SRAL Near Real Time and SLSTR near real Time for Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B data are delayed.

River ice jams are a prime source of flood risk in cold regions. This recently occurred in Alberta, Canada, where the flooding of Fort McMurray resulted in the evacuation of the downtown district and in extensive damage. Copernicus Sentinels are lending a hand to monitor river ice conditions before ice jams affect towns and cities.

A service downtime of the Copernicus Data Access Hub is currently ongoing since 00:00 UTC, 27 May on the following access points:

  • SciHub and API Hub
  • Copernicus Services Data Hub
  • Collaborative Data Hub Node 1.

We are pleased to publish the fifth Copernicus Sentinel Data Access Annual Report .

This report for 2019 follows directly on from the 2018 report, and analyses the uptake of Copernicus Sentinel data and the performance of the Copernicus Sentinel Data Access System during the period 1 December 2018 to 30 November 2019 (referred to as Y2019).

Due to a ground segment configuration error, a set of NRTI data with sensing date of 2019-07-29 and 2019-07-30 that have been processed for validation of the the Near Real Time dataflow with improved algorithms have been mistakenly published on the Sentinel-5P pre-operations data hub on 2020-05-18/19.

Due to a Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR instrument anomaly occurring on 13 May and consequent recovery actions executed on the instrument all the related user products are unavailable or degraded.
