Copernicus Sentinel-2: quality improvement of the Preview Image (PVI)

07 March 2019

On Monday 11 March 2019, a minor change of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 Level-1C and Level-2A products will be implemented: the compression rate of the Preview Image (PVI) will be reduced in order to improve the quality of the images.

This change will not affect the product format or scientific content (IMG_DATA).

It is further clarified that the products following this evolution will keep being tagged according to the processing baseline number 02.07 for the L1C products and 02.11 for L2A products (the PB identifier is kept unchanged).
