Sentinel-5P TROPOMI Carbon Monoxide Total Column Retrieval ATBD

The purpose of this document is to describe the theoretical baseline of the algorithm that will be used for the operational processing of the carbon monoxide column densities from S5P measurements in the SWIR spectral range. Input, output and ancillary data are described. Additionally, the performance of the algorithm is analysed with respect to the expected calculation times and the data product uncertainty.
