NOTE: The Level-1 SYN product (SY_1_MISR) is an internal product, and not disseminated to Users.

The SY_1_MISR product is produced by the both Synergy SDR and AOD software and includes correspondence grids between all OLCI and SLSTR channels.

Depending on the computed channels and stripes in nominal configuration, this product contains 26 to 36 datasets. These datasets are Annotation Data Files, that contain the correspondence/collocation grids between OLCI/SLSTR L1b acquisition and image grids and SYN Level 2 reference grid:

• One misregistration dataset for each of the computed OLCI channels Oa01 – Oa21. The computation of absorption channels, unused in SYN Level 2 (Oa13, Oa14, Oa15, Oa19 and Oa20) are disabled by a dedicated switch in nominal conditions.
• One misregistration dataset for each of the computed SLSTR channels S1 – S9, F1, F2, associated with nadir view. The computation of Thermal/Fire channels, unused in SYN Level-2 (S7 to S9, F1, F2) and the computation of S4 band, dedicated to cloud detection are disabled by a dedicated switch in nominal conditions
• One collocation dataset for each of the computed SLSTR grids associated with oblique view. Only SLSTR A and B stripes are taken into account in nominal conditions (computation of 1 km grid are disabled by a dedicated switch). The misregistration/collocation values are mapped onto a rectangular grid of 300 m resolution: the SYN Level-2 reference grid, similar to the OLCI acquisition grid associated with the OLCI reference channel.
