This section identifies the Sentinel use typologies and the corresponding services/data access as well as the preliminary steps to accessing Sentinel data.

The ESA Atmospheric Validation Data Center (EVDC) has been migrated to a new portal at evdc.esa.int with upgraded functionalities and new tools. The portal offers access to both Cal/Val data and Satellite products for specific missions. The user community is invited to exploit these new features and to contact the EVDC team (firstname.lastname@example.org) for any further information.

As per the news on 11 August, users are informed that the contingency issue which occurred at Matera has been resolved and a nominal Sentinel-2A/B production was resumed on 16 August.

As per the announcement on 04 August, we are pleased to inform the users that the anomaly occurred in the Svalbard processing chain on 02 August has been resolved and nominal Level-1 production was resumed on 08 August at 16:00 UTC.
Use Typologies and Available Services
The Sentinel Data Access Infrastructure has been adapted to the needs of the different user typologies, production, archiving and retrieval systems and facilities being operated by ESA, Eumetsat, ESA Member States (MS) or International Partners for the different typologies of data use.
No registration is required for discovery and view services while it is a prerequisite to download Sentinel data. Registration is free of charge.
The available services for each typology of use are listed in the table below.
