Use Typologies and available Services
This section identifies the Sentinel use typologies and the corresponding services/data access as well as the preliminary steps to accessing Sentinel data.
Referring to the news of 03 April 2017, users are informed that the recovery of all impacted sensing orbits from 9266 to 9296 has been completed and the relevant Sentinel-2A products are available in the data hubs.
Users are informed that the Sentinel-2 Ground Segment suffered a sporadic anomaly between March and May 2017 included, leading to an incomplete dissemination of production with about 11% of products missing throughout the period.
The periods of April and May have already been recovered and all of the production for those two months is now available for download; the recovery for the month of March is on-going and is expected to be complete by 26 May.
Use Typologies and Available Services
The Sentinel Data Access Infrastructure has been adapted to the needs of the different user typologies, production, archiving and retrieval systems and facilities being operated by ESA, Eumetsat, ESA Member States (MS) or International Partners for the different typologies of data use.
No registration is required for discovery and view services while it is a prerequisite to download Sentinel data. Registration is free of charge.
The available services for each typology of use are listed in the table below.
