Use Typologies and available Services
This section identifies the Sentinel use typologies and the corresponding services/data access as well as the preliminary steps to accessing Sentinel data.
16 November 2017
Due to a Ground Segment anomaly on 14 November 2017, some data were lost for Sentinel-3A. The absolute sensing orbit involved were 9079 and 9080, i.e. relative orbits 251 and 252 of cycle 24.
09 November 2017
As anticipated on 6 October 2017, we are pleased to announce that the complete Sentinel-2B production is now available on the Open Hub with the same ingestion date and unique identifier as the Sentinel-2B Pre-operational Hub.
08 November 2017
Due to Radio Frequency Interference events with other spacecraft on 24 August and 11 and 13 September 2017, some data was lost for Sentinel-3A during the downlink orbits 7914, 8172 and 8194.
As a consequence of a ground segment anomaly, the availability of Sentinel-2A products in the data hubs is delayed as of today, 31 October 2017.
Use Typologies and Available Services
The Sentinel Data Access Infrastructure has been adapted to the needs of the different user typologies, production, archiving and retrieval systems and facilities being operated by ESA, Eumetsat, ESA Member States (MS) or International Partners for the different typologies of data use.
No registration is required for discovery and view services while it is a prerequisite to download Sentinel data. Registration is free of charge.
The available services for each typology of use are listed in the table below.
