Minimize Available Data Collections

The Data Access Portfolio Document defines the datasets made available to Copernicus Users in response to their requirements. The complete data offer is described in the Copernicus data access portfolio.

This section describes the Sentinel mission contribution to the applicable data offer; there are 2 types of datasets:

  • CORE datasets: predefined, fixed large data collections for specific applications like sea ice monitoring over predefined areas or European wide land cover assessment; Access to Sentinel data within CORE datasets can be obtained via subscription
  • ADDitional (ADD) Datasets: flexible, on-demand part of the data offer covering multiple and last minute requirements, like observations over volcanoes and emergency events. They represent a large volume of EO data classified by resolution type to cover Copernicus user flexible specifications, e.g. geographical area, processing levels, lead times, delivery mechanisms etc.

CopHub / Open Hub alignment on 13 March 2017

A significant update of the Copernicus Services Data Hub (CopHub) is planned on 13 March 2017 in order to completely align its data offer to the Copernicus Open Access Hub (previously known as the Sentinels Scientific Data Hub).

Sentinel-3A SLSTR anomaly

Due to an on-board anomaly on Sentinel-3A, SLSTR products starting from 14 February 2017, 08:09:05 UTC are degraded or missing.

The Sentinels Scientific Data Hub is now the Copernicus Open Access Hub

Following useful feedback and agreement with the European Commission it has been decided to rename the "Sentinels Scientific Data Hub" to "Copernicus Open Access Hub".

Delayed Sentinel-2A data availability in the data hubs

14 February 2017

Due to a Ground Segment anomaly, Sentinel-2A data acquired from approximately 15:00 UTC on 11 February were not made timely available to users in the data hubs. Data dissemination resumed in the morning on 13 February, for data acquired from approximately 00:30 on 12 February. The recovery of the missing products and the return to nominal data availability are expected in the coming days.

HR_IMAGE_2015: Optical HR Pan Europe coverages
Sentinel-2 data will be used for gap filling for the generation of 2 high-resolution coverages of EEA-39 within vegetation season 2014-2015

HR1_OPT_GLOBAL and HR2_OPTICAL_GLOBAL: Optical HR1 and HR2 worldwide coverages
Systematic Sentinel-2 data supply as of 3rd December 2015
