Infrastructure maintenance activities are foreseen on Tuesday, 17 May 2016 from 09:30 CEST to 17:00 CEST.

While the growing volume of information from satellites observing Earth offers a unique opportunity for science and applications, it is sometimes difficult to make sure these complex data streams are exploited to their full potential. ESA is addressing this challenge with 'Thematic Exploitation Platforms'.

One of the biggest Earth observation conferences in the world got off to a flying start today as thousands of scientists from around the world gathered in the Czech Republic to present their latest findings on our changing planet.

Infrastructure maintenance activities on security are foreseen on Wednesday, 4 May 2016 from 09:00 CEST to 17:00 CEST and on Thursday, 5 May 2016 from 9:00 CEST to 17:00 CEST.

Service interruptions might occasionally occur during the maintenance windows on the data hubs.

Launched on 25 April from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, Sentinel-1B has produced its first images only two hours after the radar was switched on - a record time for a space radar.

We are pleased to publish the first Annual Report describing the data access towards the Copernicus dedicated Sentinel Missions operated by ESA on behalf of the European Union.

Following liftoff on 25 April from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, Sentinel-1B has opened its large solar wings and radar antenna.
The second Sentinel-1 satellite - Sentinel-1B - was launched today to provide more 'radar vision' for Europe's environmental Copernicus programme.
The Sentinel-5 Precursor Algorithm Theoretical Baseline Documents (ATBDs) for the operational Level 1b and Level 2 processors are now available in the Document Library.
A final, full rehearsal has confirmed that teams at ESA's mission control are ready for tomorrow's launch of the Sentinel-1B radar satellite.

Calling on all interested users of Sentinel data, who would like to submit their results, turning their experiences into 'success stories'.

If you have a good story to tell, of how any of the Sentinel satellites are producing data that bring benefit to your work and/or to society, please contact the Sentinel Online Editor Malì Cecere at: mali.cecere@ejr-quartz.com with your proposals.
