ESA is pleased to announce the first official release of Sentinel-3A SLSTR Level 2 data products in the Sentinel Data Hub.

A new L1B Processing Baseline 2.17 has been released for SLSTR and OLCI at 13:15 UTC 5/7/2017.

Following the successful completion of the Sentinel-2B satellite in-orbit commissioning phase, we are happy to announce that access to Sentinel-2B Level-1C products will be opened to all users on 6 July.

The Forestry Thematic Exploitation Platform (F-TEP) has now entered the pre-operations phase, providing initial services for Forest Change, Land Cover, Biomass and Vegetation Indices as well as interactive toolboxes. Data is available from Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and Landsat.

A routine decontamination activity of the Sentinel-2A MSI is planned over a continuous period of approximately 24-hours between 17:40 07/07/2017 and 17:00 08/07/2017 UTC.

Referring to the news of 12 June, we are pleased to inform you that the backlog of Sentinel-2A data dissemination is recovered and all products acquired between 10 and 12 June are now available in the data hubs for download.

From 29 June 2017, Sentinel-2A Level-2A products are available on the Copernicus Services Data Hub.

While a fire at a rubbish depot was detected from space by the Copernicus Sentinel-3A and ESA's Proba-V satellites, pollutants in the plume of thick smoke were measured by instruments that will be used to validate information from the upcoming Sentinel-5 Precursor mission.

Identifying landslides rapidly and precisely enables a better understanding of landslide triggering conditions. The Copernicus Sentinel-1 and -2 missions can be used to provide such information in a timely fashion, and this can help improve maps that show which areas are susceptible to landslides, therefore contributing to risk management.

Due to a SRAL Digital Elevation Mode EEPROM patching operations, SRAL mission data was unavailable during the following period:

22 June 2017 from 08:48:42 to 08:54:08 (Duration 00:05:26).
