An evolution of the Sentinel-1 processing baseline will be introduced on the 14th of February for all newly generated products. The highlights of the new baseline are:

  • Filling potential missing data in denoising vectors for TOPS GRD products at high latitudes
  • Minor evolutions of the Sentinel-1 Level-1 and Level-2 OCN product format, in line with the product format version 3.13, including:
    • Introduction of quick-looks in the Level-2 OCN products.
    • Annotation of processing variables required to ease the exploitation of L2 OSW products, allowing, for example, the processing of L2 OSW starting from L2 products (for L2 products improvements)
    • Addition of a new metadata in the Level-1 products manifest indicating the Level-0 A/C/N used for processing. The corresponding product format specifications version 3.13 are available here together with a set of corresponding Level-2 sample products.
  • Use of OpenStreetMap as default coastline indicator for L2 processing

This evolution will be activated with the deployment of the new instrument processor version 3.6.0. The complete list of changes introduced by this new version is available here https://sar-mpc.eu/ipf/

Products generated after the deployment of this version will tag version 003.60 of the operational processor in the corresponding product metadata and will be aligned with the new product format specifications 3.13.
