The Quaternions files for Copernicus Sentinel-1, -2 and -3 missions computed by the Copernicus POD Service will be officially available from the Copernicus Open Access Hub from 1 June onwards.
The Quaternions files for Copernicus Sentinel-1, -2 and -3 missions computed by the Copernicus POD Service will be officially available from the Copernicus Open Access Hub from 1 June onwards. The users will be able to access the Quaternions files for the entire Copernicus Sentinel-1, -2 and -3 missions. These files will be regularly uploaded daily with a latency of:
- 21 days for Sentinel-1 and -2 missions
- 26 days for Sentinel-3 mission.
The Quaternions files contain the decoded attitude from the satellites' AOCS data on a time tagged file. In case of data gaps, the Quaternions files are filled with the simulated attitude derived from precise orbital products. By releasing the Quaternions files, together with the GPS RINEX Observations, precise platform and orbit products and other ancillary files, the Copernicus Programme aims at supporting the scientific community involved in many geodetic applications worldwide and encourage new uses for the Sentinels GNSS data, maximising the missions' return and becoming a reference for the GNSS processing.
