Following the recent upgrades to the Data Hub dissemination points we are pleased to announce that the Long Term Archive (LTA) Access interfaces for Copernicus Sentinel-2 Level-1C products are ready to be operated as part of the nominal routine to ensure the continued access to all Copernicus Sentinel Data.

As announced (see news published on 2 September) the roll out of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 Level-1C data will start in a gradual fashion.

At first, one month of data will be removed, to then gradually reach the 12 months of online retention period. The range of sensing dates of the first batch of data is chosen according to the production volumes and usage patterns.

The online/offline date ranges will be published and kept up to date in the dedicated user guides page.

The roll out will start between 23-29 September (week 39).

Users are invited to read the special note available in the user guide concerning the format of Copernicus Sentinel-2 Level-1C restored products.
