Network incident resolved on the Data Hubs

The incident that occurred on the Data Hubs on 27 May 2019, causing a degradation of the data access services, was resolved today, at 02:00 UTC.

The incident that occurred on the Data Hubs on 27 May 2019, causing a degradation of the data access services, was resolved today, at 02:00 UTC.

The incident was caused by a disk failure in the front-end nodes accessing the storage to which the virtual machines are connected. Performance of the service was degraded during the repair of the nodes, and downloads and products publication were affected.

The period of major service degradation occurred from 27 May 21:17 UTC to 29 May 28:43 UTC, subsequently the performance gradually increased until resolution of the incident at 2:00 UTC on 29 May.

Data fetching from the PDGSs has been resumed. Publication on all data access services is gradually absorbing the production backlog and download rates are back to nominal.
