ESA is pleased to announce the official release of the Copernicus Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR) Sentinel-3A and -3B products on the Open Access Hub.

ESA is pleased to announce the official release of the Copernicus Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR) Sentinel-3A and -3B products on the Open Access Hub.

Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR products will be published on Open Access Hub (including API Hub) on 20 March 2019 and the Sentinel-3B products will follow the next day on 21 March.

The transition from the S3 Pre-operations Hub to Open Access Hub includes the publication of the Non-Time Critical (NTC) historical data belonging to the 2.29 Processing Baseline – Collection Baseline 003 (a reference will be provided as soon as available) replacing the previous Collection Baseline 002.

More specifically, the Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR data has been re-processed to Processing Baseline 2.30, providing a homogeneous time series from the start of the S3A mission aligned to the current S3A and S3B processing baseline.

The S3-A re-processed dataset will cover Level-1 and Land Level-2 products (SL_1_RBT and SL_2_LST) with sensing date from 16 April 2016 to 4 April 2018.

Products can be identified by filenames ending with '*_LR1_R_NT_003';
Where R (re-processed) products at LR1 (Land Reprocessing Centre #1) belong to product Collection Baseline 003; in contrast to the old products which ended with '*_LN2_O_NT_00x', with x equal to 1 or 2.

The NTC historical data will gradually be released in the following month in parallel to the new data production.

The NRT data will be published with a rolling window of 1 month.

The Sentinel-3 Pre-Operational Hub will continue to publish new data until completion of the transition of the NTC historical dataset to the Open Access Hub.
