Starting from Tuesday 22 January 2019, the Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR Near Real Time products will be generated at the SLSTR Land Production Centre and will no longer be generated at the Svalbard Ground Station.

The products will be exactly the same as before, with the only exception being a slight change in the file name, i.e. the characters GGG describing the Production Centre (please refer to the File Name Convention) changes from SVL (Svalbard Station) to LN2 (SLSTR Land Production Centre).

Please note that the Sentinel-3A SLSTR Non-Time-Critical products as well as all Sentinel-3B SLSTR products are already generated at the SLSTR Land Production Centre and they already use the 'LN2' file name convention. The Sentinel-3A NRT products will be aligned with this for each instrument in time.

In the meantime, the change impacts the following product types:

  • SL_1_RBT NRT
  • SL_2_LST NRT
