On 23 May 2018, a new Processing Baseline (02.08) will be deployed for Sentinel-2 L2A products. The first acquisitions featuring baseline 02.08 will be dated with 2018-05-23T09:50:00 and 2018-05-23T09:00:00 UTC sensing time for Sentinel2-A and Sentinel2-B, respectively.
On 23 May 2018, a new Processing Baseline (02.08) will be deployed for Sentinel-2 L2A products. The first acquisitions featuring baseline 02.08 will be dated with 2018-05-23T09:50:00 and 2018-05-23T09:00:00 UTC sensing time for Sentinel2-A and Sentinel2-B, respectively.
This new Processing Baseline features the following changes:
- Update of the quality control reports embedded in the L2A products (referring to ‘OLQC' reports in the product specifications)
- Change in the coding of the <Granule_List> section of the Product Level Metadata, in order to group all band image files of the same tile in the same record.
Processing Baseline 02.08 remains compliant with the current version of the Product Specification Document (PSD v14.5) and therefore does not affect/change the Level-2A product format and semantics.
