More than 10,000 users are now registered on the Sentinel Scientific Data Hub.
1.7 million Sentinel-1A products have been downloaded by users worldwide in 10 months, since the opening of the data hub in early October 2014. This represents two Petabytes of data, equivalent to 400,000 commonly used DVDs.
The data flow generated by the Sentinel-1 ground segment is routinely made available on the data hub, accessible to all users, thanks to the Copernicus open and free data and information distribution policy.
Today 220,000 Sentinel-1A products are available for download on the data hub. This will be complemented in the coming months by Sentinel-2A products, once the satellite commissioning phase currently on-going will be completed.
