Following the successful launch of Sentinel-2A on 23 June 2015, detailed information on the milestones for the operations ramp-up phase are now available.
The operations ramp-up phase covers the period from the launch of the satellite up to the Routine Operations Readiness Review which qualifies the satellite's operational status and performance after months of thorough testing and calibration.
During this important phase of the mission other milestones, including the commissioning of the satellite, the release of the first images obtained by the satellite, and the distribution of early data products will also take place.
