Sentinel-1 supports the monitoring of the Kīlauea volcano eruption in Hawaii
07 May 2018
Following the eruption of the Kīlauea volcano in Hawaii and the associated earthquakes, the Sentinel-1 observation plan has been amended to allow interferometry at 6 days in ascending and descending geometry, utilising the Sentinel-1A and Sentinel-1B satellites.
This scheme will be performed for the next few weeks and might be maintained in the long term. The next Sentinel-1 observation will be on 8 May 2018 at approximately 4:30 UTC. Information on the detailed acquisitions is available from Sentinel-1 Acquisition Plans page.
