DESCRIPTION

SAR mode identifier is a flag that indicates the tracking mode of the SRAL instrument:

a) closed-loop mode: autonomous positioning of the range window using the median algorithm.

b) open-loop mode: range window position based on a priori knowledge of terrain altitude derived from a Digital Elevation Model (DEM).

c) open-loop mode fixed gain: range window position based on a priori knowledge of terrain altitude derived from a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) set to a fixed gain.
