DESCRIPTION

The SAR mode identifier is a flag that indicates the tracking mode of the SRAL instrument:

1. Closed-loop mode: autonomous position of the range window using the median algorithms

2. Open-loop mode: range window position based on a-priori knowledge of terrain altitude derived from a Digital Elevation Model (DEM)
