Registration for ESA's fifth Living Planet Symposium has just closed, reaching a record of nearly 2700 abstract entries.

Held at the Prague Congress Centre in the Czech Republic, the next Living Planet Symposium will take place from 9-13 May. Organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Education, the Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, it also has the local support from Charles University in Prague.

When the registrations closed on 16 October it became clear that we can expect around 3000 participants, making it one of the biggest Earth observation conferences in the world.

The event brings together scientists and users to present their latest findings on Earth's environment and climate, derived mainly from ESA satellite data. It also introduces missions in development such as the Sentinels, Earth Explorers and new meteorological missions.
