Copernicus Sentinel-1A and -1B precise orbital products currently available for the entire mission

We are pleased to announce that the Sentinel-1A and -1B Precise Orbit Files (AUX_POEORB products) coming from the Sentinel-1 Full Mission Reprocessing 2021 (FMR 2021) are available on the Copernicus Open Access Hub (see News story for further information about the FMR 2021).

These products have been generated with the same POD configuration as the one used for the current operational products generated by the Copernicus POD Service. Therefore, no quality degradation is expected at the transition.

Below, you can find an update of the Sentinel-1 products publicly available to users on the Copernicus Open Access Hub:

  • AUX_RESORB: restituted orbit files generated within 180 min from sensing time and distributed daily, with accuracy requirement of 10 cm in 2D RMS, but typically below 5 cm. A rolling policy of 1 month is applied, in order to keep only the latest files.
  • AUX_POEORB: precise orbit files generated with a timeliness of 20 days from sensing time and distributed daily, with accuracy requirement of 5 cm in 3D RMS, but typically below 1 cm. Once available, these files supersede the AUX_RESORB products, as they contain the same data with better accuracy. These products are available from the beginning of the mission.
  • AUX_GNSSRD: raw dual-frequency pseudo-range and carrier phase observations from the GPS receiver since beginning of mission, and available with a timeliness of 1 week.
  • AUX_PROQUA: processed quaternions since beginning of mission mixing real attitude data from the AOCS (whenever available) with simulated attitude filling the gaps, available with a timeliness of 2 days.
